Excel import and export

Prepare a CSV file in Excel to exchange inventory products and stock balances.

Prepare a CSV file in Excel to exchange inventory products and stock balances.

Who this guide is for: owners and managers. Before making changes, make sure the correct establishment is selected.

Before you begin

  • Sign in to the appropriate workspace and check the establishment name at the top of the page.
  • Prepare the information you will enter. Payment and integration settings also require the provider's connection details.
  • If an option is missing, check your plan and your role's permissions.

Setup steps

  1. Open Inventory. Select the correct establishment and download a current export to check the column headers.
  2. Prepare the CSV file. Save as UTF-8 CSV with a semicolon or comma delimiter, no larger than 3 MB. XLS and XLSX are not supported directly.
  3. Check the data before uploading. Columns are detected automatically from their headers; there is no separate preview before data is saved.
  4. Reconcile the result. Some rows may have been saved even if an error occurred; check the list and stock balances before importing again.
Integrations section
Integrations section: use section names as a guide; the values in your account may differ.

Check the result

Check quantities and prices in the selected establishment. Saving settings on the Excel tab does not start an import or change the inventory import format. A CSV export is not a full backup.

Troubleshooting

  • Refresh the page and select the establishment again. Some data is only shown for the selected establishment.
  • Check required fields, phone number format, dates and numeric values. Save errors appear on the right below the header.
  • Do not create a duplicate just because a response is slow. Open the list first and check whether the record has already been created.
